The Library Project donated over 250 Chinese language children’s books, a bookshelf and a globe to the Tian Jia Gou Elementary School.  There are 8 students that attend grades 1-2 at Tian Jia Gou Elementary School.  We also donated colorful paint for the old desks and stools, and white paint for the walls to brighten the classroom up.  But because of the cold weather (snow and all), the teacher decided to wait until late Spring/early Summer to paint the walls and desks.

This library donation was made possible because of a generous donation from Tan Siok Siok through her documentary, Boomtown Beijing.  Tan Siok Siok held charity screenings of Boomtown Beijing that 100% of the profits went toward providing five libraries to rural elementary schools in China.

Over the next few days we will be posting a new “Tan Siok Siok Library” to our TLP Blog.  This is the 2nd library of 5.
